Kenya National Examinations Council Business Examinations

The Kenya National Examinations Council offers examinations in a wide range of courses. The examinations are taken by candidates in the National Polytechnics, Youth Polytechnics, National Youth Service, Private Secretarial and Commercial Colleges, Institutes of Technology and Technical Institutes.
KNEC offers examinations in the following courses:
1. Single and Group Certificate - These examinations are conducted at three levels i.e. Elementary , Intermediate and Advanced Levels
2. Business Management Courses
The following courses are offered under the Business Management Courses
i) Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma in Transport Management
ii) Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma in Supplies Management
iii) Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma in Business Administration
iv) Diploma in Banking
3. Business Technical Education Programme (BTEP)
These examinations are offered at Artisan, Craft, Diploma and Higher Diploma


Membership Level: Diamond    Total Points: 13329
For Business Technical Educational Programme (BTEP) Examinations, the candidates must have satisfied the following minimum entry requirements
1) Artisan Courses - KCPE
2) Craft Courses - KCSE mean grade D plain or relevant Artisan Certificate
3) Diploma Courses - KCSE mean grade C- or relevant craft certificate
4. Higher Diploma Courses - Diploma in relevant course
All first attempt candidates must sit their examinations at approved institutional centres. Referred candidates can register to re-sit Business TEP examinations at their former institutions or register as private candidates.
